Meet the Clinician

Amy Cannon is a Licensed Professional Counselor who has 10+ years of experience working in the mental health field. Amy practiced in both community mental health and private practice before experiencing a traumatic loss of her son in 2021. After taking time away from work to process and find healing, she returned to working with clients in 2022 with a new perspective and resolve to help others who have experienced or are walking through their own grief and loss.

Amy became a Certified Advanced Grief Counseling Specialist (CAGCS) in 2023. She utilizes a strengths-based, trauma-informed, spiritually sensitive approach in her work with individuals and families. She considers it an honor and privilege to walk alongside individuals and to be trusted with their stories. It is always her goal to create a safe, judgement-free space where individuals have the opportunity to be their true selves as they find healing and hope.

Amy graduated from Messiah College with a BA in Psychology in 2010 and Towson University with an MA in Counseling Psychology in 2013. She’s worked in a variety of settings, including community mental health, school-based counseling, and private practice which have provided her with extensive experience with children through older adults and a variety of mental health issues.
